Dappa Dan's Barber Shop Grand Opening
Congratulations to Daniel and Jessica De La Cruz for opening up their second barber shop in North Richland Hills, TX! Not only do my husband and I personally know and love the De La Cruz family, but we also go as a family to get faded by Daniel (Dappa Dan) himself. It was such a pleasure for me to document their grand opening affair.
The event was held Sunday evening with a lineup of things to see, consume and multiple opportunities to give to charity. Dappa orchestrated for a bike show, car and truck show, and a beard and mustache competition. The Good 'Ol Boyz RC hosted the bike show along with raffling off tickets in order to donate all proceeds to children of the Texas Pythian Home. The winner of said raffle won a beautiful blue 125cc 4 Wheeler. Cowtown Moustache and Beard Society was also present to host the beard and moustache competition and sell merchandise in an effort to utilize the proceeds to fund school supplies for underfunded schools and underprivileged children. The winner of said contest won 3 free haircuts + beard trims from Dappa Dan. What a steal! To help satisfy our appetites Best Bayou Bites Food Truck, Hula Hut Snow Cone Truck, and High Seas Jerky were crowd pleasers. (Shout out to Hula Hut for offering our daughter a free snow cone, because we're millennials and don't carry cash!)
Oh! I nearly forgot to mention that Marty McFly's DeLorean was present along with his hover board in the back and his Driver's License on the dash. How awesome is that?!
